The DMARC Emergency Food Pantry is a program to help meet the short-term needs of hungry people in the Des Moines area. Its purpose is to help persons to be free from hunger by providing help for short-term emergencies and offering information and referral to other available agencies. 

Our emergency food pantry:

• provides food to more than 650 families every week

• helps more than 8,200 unique families every year

• averages more than 1,000,000 items of food given out every year
